Plastic Exogestation

The problem of overexploitation and excessive capitalism leaves us with more than 340 million tons of plastic a year, the poor handling of this waste drastically affects nature, making the planet a giant container that takes hundreds of years to process our waste . From biology, the period after pregnancy is called exogestation, a stage in which the mother takes charge of her young outside the uterus after birth. This work consists of a series of twelve pieces made with monotypes of different compositions of plastic bags rescued throughout the mountainous areas of Cundinamarca, these residues are cleaned to place them on supports and thus stamp them on 250 gr cotton paper. In this search for forms, recycled plastic materials are re-signified where organic and living predominate.
